Marketing Roadsigns
the
e-newsletter companion to the Marketing Roadmaps blog
Greetings! Welcome to
the second issue of Marketing Roadsigns, the companion
newsletter to GetGood Strategic Marketing's weblog, Marketing
Roadmaps.
Posting on the blog was light in July due to a fairly
hectic travel and work schedule. The highlights are pretty
much all the "lights" this month :-) Our report on the "new"
Magic Quadrant will have to wait until next month. Instead,
I'll share some of my impressions of the first women's
blogging conference held July 30th in Santa Clara Calif.
I hope you enjoy Marketing Roadsigns. Thanks for
reading! Susan Getgood
Marketing & PR posts - July 2005
The posts from the Roadmap featured this month.
I focused on two main topics: podcasting and customer
blogging. The customer blogging material is based on a panel
presentation I gave at blogher
about Multiple
Choice, the customer written blog I developed for
educational software firm Software Secure this spring.
Podcasting Information
Some podcasts and podcast resources you should check
out. Some business, some for fun.
Sales/Marketing Resources Websites and weblogs of note
Since I have just returned from blogher, this month I
will feature sales, marketing and industry blogs written by
women.
Blogher Report
Blogher is the most unique conference I have ever
attended. It was started as a grassroots effort by three
Silicon Vally based women who were dismayed, like many of us,
that the most well-known bloggers, the so-called A-list, were
by and large white men. Where were all the women bloggers?
They proposed a one-day conference to assemble women bloggers
of all types -- political, personal/identity (including mommy
bloggers), reporters, high tech, marketing, industry,
international etc etc. The response was HUGE, and they pulled
it off.
I will blog more about the event itself on the Roadmap
later this month. The takeaway I want to share with Roadsigns
readers is this: you can accomplish just about any goal with
the proper
- strategy
- planning
- execution
- COMMITMENT
If something is REALLY worth doing,
you will make the time, find the money and get it done. Until
next month....
